Padel Club Dortmund
A concept study for a padel club: court booking, member communication and community storytelling on one page.
Starting point
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in Germany. And at the same time one whose club websites often look like they were assembled from a 2010 instruction manual. We used this concept study for a fictional padel club in Dortmund to test our internal web design tool and, in parallel, to develop a best-practice concept that also transfers to traditional sports clubs, tennis clubs and fitness providers.
The industry's core problems are clear: court booking is the most important funnel, member communication still runs far too often through PDFs and bulletin boards, events and tournaments need a visible home, and new players have to be guided into a trial session or membership without friction.
What we built
We built the concept around four core blocks: a clear hero that explains the club in one sentence and leads straight into court booking, a membership and trial-session area with transparent pricing, an events and tournaments section for community activities, and a calm about block that introduces the coaching team and the facility.
Court booking is designed as the prominent entry point and can later hook into common booking tools like Eversports, Padel Mates or custom solutions. The design works with athletically crisp typography, lots of black and an accent color that carries energy without feeling aggressive. Mobile first was non-negotiable, because most bookings in this industry happen on a smartphone.
Result
The study isn't a paid client engagement. It's a deliberately public design approach for the industry. The result is a template we can use anytime as a starting point for real padel clubs, tennis clubs or gyms in Dortmund, Münster and across NRW.
What the concept study proves in concrete terms: a modern sports club website doesn't have to look expensive. It has to guide clearly. Court booking in the hero, honest membership pricing, a visible community.
