A practice website that explains instead of promising: ear acupuncture, pain acupuncture, Tuina and nutrient counselling in everyday language, with fees and procedure before the first appointment.
Starting point
A new practice has no recommendations to lean on yet. Anyone searching for acupuncture in the Münsterland finds either texts about energy flows or dry lists of indications, and neither answers the real question: does this help with my neck, my sleep, my hay fever?
Add to that the reservations many people have towards naturopaths. The site therefore had to do two things at once: stay clinically clean, without promises of healing, and still be clear enough for someone without prior knowledge to see the next step.
What we built
The entry starts from the complaints, not from the methods. Neck and shoulders, sleep problems, headaches, hay fever, quitting smoking: each complaint shows which treatment comes into question. Only then come the four services, each with a photo of the treatment, a paragraph in plain words and its own subpage with procedure, areas of use and questions.
The practitioner appears with her training, career and a paragraph on how she works, and the path from first contact to treatment has four numbered steps. Fees are published according to the fee schedule, plus a section on what insurers reimburse. Both settle before the first appointment what would otherwise be asked on the phone.
The design uses a serif typeface for headings, warm photos in subdued light and a deep green as the only accent. The path to an enquiry runs on every page: a form without an account, next to it the phone number.
Result
A practice website that does without promises and still builds trust. Whoever reads the page from top to bottom knows after a few sections which treatment fits their complaints, what it costs and how the first appointment runs. The practice starts from day one with a presence that explains what recommendations will later add to.
