Calm you can feel on the website already. A concept study for a boutique hotel with spa and its own kitchen.
Starting point
Refugium is a free concept study from our studio, not a client project. We wanted to show how a boutique hotel with spa and its own kitchen can present itself online when the presence radiates the same calm as the house itself. Many hotel websites feel like booking engines: loud, crowded, interchangeable. Yet a good stay begins before arrival, with a page that slows you down instead of pushing.
What we built
The result is a complete, live demo website: generous imagery, clear guidance to rooms, spa and restaurant, and consistent booking calls to action. Seasonal offers such as a winter package or a spa retreat are staged as their own packages, so guests book an occasion, not just a room. Typography and colours stay deliberately restrained, lots of white space, warm tones, a fine serif for the headings, so that the house remains at the centre.
Result
The study shows how hospitality with ambition can work online: calm, high-quality and still clearly geared towards booking. All content is fictional, as inspiration for a real presence in this industry. The demo is live and can be clicked through completely.
